In advance of the Jean Piaget Society's annual meeting (focused this year on "Rethinking Cognitive Development") there will be a preconference meeting designed to help catalyze the emerging field of developmental contemplative science.

The meeting will examine how age-appropriate contemplative practices, such as compassion or mindfulness training, may be used to support the healthy development of core functions like attention, emotion regulation, executive function, and social perspective taking.

Speakers include Jon Kabat-Zinn, Richard Davidson, Jacqueline Eccles, Phil Zelazo, Adele Diamond, and Carl Johnson.
