JPS Publications

Members of the Jean Piaget Society receive the following publications:

Cognitive DevelopmentCognitive Development

Published quarterly by Elsevier, Cognitive Development contains the very best empirical and theoretical work on the development of perception, memory, language, concepts, thinking, problem solving, metacognition, social cognition, and moral and social development.

To insure a JPS contribution, the board will select a special issue editor each year to produce one volume. If you are interested in acting as editor for one of these special issues, see: Guidelines for Special Issue Proposals.

Students can elect to join JPS with or without the added cost of the journal.

Jean Piaget Symposium Series

Each year, following our annual meeting, the Jean Piaget Society publishes an edited volume. This approximately 300-page volume covers the main themes of the symposium and is published by Psychology Press. Members of the society receive the volume free of charge. (The price of the volume if not received through the Jean Piaget Society will be approximately US$75.) See a listing of current volumes.

Prior to acquiring Cognitive Development, the society published its own quarterly journal and newsletter (The Genetic Epistemologist). Back issues of the journal are available on our web site.
