The City
Serbia’s capital Belgrade is located at the confluence of two rivers, Sava and Danube, and is one of Europe’s oldest cities. Ruins of a Neolithic settlement have been unearthed nearby, while the first settlement on the site of the modern city was the Celtic town of Singidunum, which was built here in the 3rd Century BCE.
Centuries of influences coming from various cultures have created a unique blend of culinary cosmopolitanism and local tradition specific to Belgrade. Belgrade’s culinary offering ranges from high-class gourmet restaurants, kafanas, all the way to edgy bars.
Belgrade also has a reputation for vibrant nightlife; many clubs that are open until dawn can be found throughout the city. The most recognisable nightlife features of Belgrade are the barges spread along the banks of the Sava and Danube Rivers.

A quiet room will be available for participants who need a space to work during the conference.
Information about room sizes and specifics will be communicated shortly.
Information about room equipment and resources will be posted shortly. It can be accommodated to enable presenters to use their own computers. The IT office of the Faculty of Philosophy would provide additional support in accommodation of the equipment in conference rooms as had been done in the case of previous conferences organized at the Faculty of Philosophy. If some additional IT or AV equipment is needed, it can be bought or rented.
The Venue
The Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment was founded in 1932 and is considered a monument of great historical and cultural value. Every week, the Endowment hosts concerts, art exhibitions, lectures, and workshops. In fact, there will be concerts at the Kolarac Endowment each evening we are there!
The premises of the Ilija M. Kolarac Endowment are in the very center of Belgrade in the main pedestrian area. It is in proximity to many hotels with five and four stars, restaurants, tourist sites, and cultural events. Since it is in the very center of Belgrade it is also well connected with other city areas by the city transportation (by buses and taxi service).
