The Inclusive Classroom

Congrats to Melanie Killen for an excellent article featured in the most recent issue of Scientific American (May 1, 2024). The Inclusive Classroom details her scholarly journey through the realm of moral development research and current explorations of how schools that create inclusive environments impact students’ development, and classroom climate and dynamics. Such inclusive programs have the “potential to better equip future generations to stand up to injustice”. Dr. Killen, a long-time member of JPS, is a professor of human development at the University of Maryland.

Hotel and Conference Registration

The proposal review process is underway and registration is open for both the hotel and conference (see the conference page on this website for links to registration). Although some will be waiting to hear the outcome of the reviews before registering, be aware that we’re expecting the hotel to book quickly. We secured an excellent room rate — CAN$239 — so register soon to insure availability.

Submission closed

Dear submitters to the JPS Toronto conference, thanks for submitting your proposals. It is going to be a great conference!

The phase of submitting has now officially ended, and therefore the submission form is closed for new submissions.

But….

If you need to make corrections or updates you can still do that by selecting you earlier submissions. This is still possible until the weekend of the 20th January. After that the form closes completely.

In more complicates cases please ask the webmaster (webmaster@piaget.org) for help.

Moreover….

We are now going into the reviewing phase. Once that has been completed, the submission form will be opened again with acceptance/rejection information added. In that phase also new corrections and updates can be made, as far as relevant for the conference program app “Guidebook”. So, please be patient and wait until the second half of February.
