Analysing developmental data – an introductory hands-on workshop
Professor Trevor Bond (Australia) has half-a-century’s experience with the quantification of developmental data, particularly in cognitive development and educational achievement. His original research methods workshops for JPS colleagues in the 1990s led to the publication of the ground breaking, Applying the Rasch model: Fundamental measurement in the human sciences, now in its fourth edition. Along with his students, he has made original contributions to the quantification of qualitative Piagetian interview protocols. Participants will be introduced do both the theory and the practice of analyses that are most sensitive to issues with developmental data. Access to data analysis software and practice developmental data sets will be provided.
