JPS 2021 – Celebrating 50 Years

CONSTRUCTIVISM

1-5 June, Virtual Conference

Call for Posters

Our decision to hold a virtual conference in 2021 has created more space in the program for Poster Presentations! These sessions will involve asynchronous viewing of digital posters and live virtual gatherings of presenters and audience members for scheduled Q&A discussion sessions.

Submissions need not address the conference theme. We welcome submissions on any topic in the study of knowledge and development.

About Poster Submissions

Poster presentations may be focused on either empirical findings or theoretical analysis. In the past, we would hold two or more poster sessions on separate days. The sessions are organized around broad themes derived from the posters selected for each session. Posters were mounted for display in a high-traffic area for the entire day of the session, but presenting authors need only attend their poster during the official session.

In trying to replicate that sense of community in a digital setting, we will be asking presenters to upload an electronic version of their poster (likely in pdf format). Conference attendees will be able to review the posters before, during, and after the conference.

We will schedule several live Q&A sessions with smaller groups of presenters. Each presenter will be given a few minutes to describe their work and then take questions from the audience (live or through moderated chat). More details on the structure of these sessions will be posted soon.

A poster proposal must include a 250 word abstract (for publication in the conference program), and a 1500 word summary (for the program review committee).
