Information for Visitors to Canada

The text quoted below was taken from the Canada Customs and Revenue Agency web site:

"When you enter Canada, a customs officer may ask to see your passport and a valid visa, if one is necessary. If you are a resident or citizen of the United States, you do not need a passport or visa to enter Canada. However, you should carry proof of your citizenship, such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship, or naturalization certificate. If you are a naturalized U.S. citizen, you should bring your naturalization certificate. If you are a permanent resident of the U.S. (i.e., you have a green card), you should bring it." [view official source]

You should review the visa and documentation requirements before travelling to Canada.

Getting from the airport to the conference hotel

Taxifare from the airport to the Marriott Eaton Centre will be $40-50CDN. There is a 24-hour airport shuttle service that runs every 20-30 minutes from the airport to several hotels in the downtown area. The shuttle costs $14.95 one-way or $26.75 return. The Marriot Eaton Centre is not one of the scheduled stops but you can get off at the Bus Station -- the hotel is across the street (see map below).
